3 STEP PROCESS
- You select the article of clothing you desire and through our interactive shopping experience you are able to customize the colour and style of your DNA imprint. Following this, you are able to add a graphic art piece that compliments the DNA imprint.
- We send you a collection kit with the appropriate materials needed to create your purchased garment. The kit contains easy to follow instructions so that we can receive a high-quality sample of your DNA. All DNA samples are taken using a mouth swab to ensure ease of use and customer convenience.
- Simply swab the inside of your cheek and place the swab into the provider pre-paid return envelope. It’s a cheek swab so don’t worry it’s painless and very simple. Place the sample back into the prepaid return sender envelope provided within the collection kit and drop it in your local postal box. It’s that easy!
We only use high quality garments and a new process of printing that allows us to create one of a kind shirts. Our logo that is present on all shirts is made from gold foil and hand pressed into the fabric. We take extra care to ensure perfect prints and that the highest standard of quality is present in every masterpiece we create.
What We Do Back at the Lab
Extract your DNA and run it on a gel. Apply electrical current.
Snap an ideal, unprocessed digital image from the gel.
Enhance and clarify all the bands that we will use.
Apply your DNA on your garments!
Carefully inspect the final result before shipping it out.
Pack your masterpiece and mail it off to you!
Destroy all DNA records.
Total creation process can take between 3-5 weeks from the date we receive your sample.

DNA Process
At Identity Apparel, we've designed a secure-proof collection tracking system in order to keep all of our personal information secure. Every user gets assigned a unique six-digit serial number in order to track your DNA, fingerprint, or Kiss sample. All of our facilities are in-house, we outsource nothing therefore content is less likely to be misplaced. Last of all, all samples are destroyed after processing the final sale. We don't keep any records or samples from any of our clients.

The Science...
Each individual’s DNA is different in its segment placement. Identity Apparel cuts specific segments out of your DNA and amplifies it to create an image shown below.
Our 4 Step Process to Create your DNA Image:
- We extract the DNA from your saliva swab.
- Then we use a specific sequence to magnify your DNA using a process called Polymerase Chain Reaction.
- We then place your magnified DNA into a Gel and use an electric current to pull the DNA through the gel.
- Using Iodine Bromide we make your DNA glow under a UV light. The DNA bands that travel further through the gel are smaller and the larger bands stay near the top.
The bolder bands of DNA are what we print onto your shirt. The glowing bands represent different lengths of your DNA highlighted using UV light. After we have taken the image of your DNA, we alter the colour to your specified requirements selected through the purchase process and remove the imperfections ensuring that only the brightest and boldest DNA bands are present.
Finally, we obtain a vibrant and appealing image of your own DNA !
Don’t worry about people being able to dissect your biological traits through the image. Only we know what sequences we have used to separate your DNA and we change them regularly so that nobody can dissect your DNA. |
